Let's Make American Girl Books Have a Braille Option!

The Issue

Hello I am Jessica, I love American Girl Books and Dolls but sadly found out that only the five original girls and a handful of mysteries come in Braille. I want to change it. I understand most people my age and younger just simply use audio however it is not always practical and Braille uses another part of the brain like reading.

This Christmas I was very happy to receive an World By Us Doll however I am no longer able to read her story. I think if someone buys you a doll ...Braille should be an option, not just buying it separately as you can with the originals.

I know Braille isn't cheap but neither are these dolls.

I still remember the very first America Girl book I read, Meet Samantha that my Mom found at a second hand shop.

I just enjoy reading with paper, my Dad and my grandpa both used to work for a paper mill so it may be in my blood.

I reckon that most people will simply go to the audio versions but that is not me and I think that part of my brain enjoys being used.

I even wrote stories to go with my Truly Me doll, she basically went through what I did at the time.

This is a big thing to ask and I understand, I just ask for consideration and if you do it, well that would be so amazing!

So if there is anyone else out there and if anyone else cares about it or even thinks about it maybe you could sign this petition...and if you decide not to  that's o.k.
