Complete season sets of The Fairly OddParents (seasons 1-8 only) were released on DVD-R via Amazon's Media On Demand service, these DVD sets were put onto cheap consumer-grade DVD-R discs rather than genuine factory replicated DVDs, and not to mention the Season 5 DVD set is out of print now, so anyone who wants to start collecting them will have a hard time finding it nowadays. The Season 8 DVD-R set is also incomplete.

We fans of this show feel ripped off that Nickelodeon has cheaped out on these DVD releases as they look and feel more like bootlegs rather than official releases. Some season set DVD-Rs reportedly have inferior picture quality due to being put out on single-layer (4.7GB) discs rather than the standard dual-layer (8.5GB) format used for almost all TV show releases, these cheap barebones Amazon releases also lack subtitles and bonus features.

In other words, fans of The Fairly OddParents are not at all satisfied with these DVD-R sets due to their missing features and inferior quality, and on top of those issues, the last two seasons of the show have yet to be released on DVD or Blu-ray (since those seasons are in HD, Blu-ray releases would be a good idea for them in my personal opinion).

These are a few of the reasons why we urge Paramount Home Entertainment or Shout Factory to give this beloved childhood classic a complete DVD (and possibly Blu-ray) release on factory-pressed discs so that we can own this show (along with unreleased bonus content) in its full glory.
