First of all, thanks so much for your support for the animals at Vivotecnia. It’s amazing to see. 

Unfortunately, we have to share the devastating news that the Comunidad de Madrid – the authority responsible for overseeing animal testing facilities - has lifted its temporary suspension on animal experiments at Vivotecnia. In fact, it would appear that the suspension was only ever on new experiments and ongoing experiments had already been allowed to continue. 

 The Comunidad has made this decision despite legal action underway by Cruelty Free International, ADDA and several other Spanish animal protection organisations. 

We know that you too will be feeling distraught by this news. We urge you to keep sharing this petition, raising awareness of the cruelty and suffering faced by animals in laboratories and helping us get the number of signatures to over a million so that the authorities have got to listen. Please do not give up the fight. Now more than ever these animals need us.
