Hey y'all! We hope you've been taking some much needed R&R this Spring break.
We're reaching out to invite you to an upcoming community event @CVStudentsFirst will be hosting this Sunday April 11th, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. We're welcoming all PSUSD school community members to join us in conversation centered in youth advocacy and guidance.
Currently, PSUSD is reviewing the $680,000 budget for police on campus. We've been attending these meetings and we find that is vital that students' needs and experiences are being uplifted in these decisions making events. The district has seen us show up again and again at its forums for reviewing the SRO budget and has taken up our request to launch a community advisory committee. The advisory meeting will be hosted May 6th, 2021. In preparation of that meeting, we're coming together April 11th to see and hear what services really matter to YOU at the end of the day. What kinds of things can and should we be funding in place of police officers so that your school experience is the best that it can be?
