公立学校における慰安婦歴史講座を認めないでください

パリセイズパークに日本軍慰安婦歴史学校がオープンし、公立学校を訪問して講義するというニュースを知りました。

もしその内容が慰安婦記念碑の碑文のような内容を含むものであれば、私たちは、このプログラムに断固反対致します。慰安婦問題は大きな論争であり、日韓の間で見解の一致をみていません。韓国側の見解に同意することは不公正です。

パリセイズパーク公立学校では、公平で偏っていない歴史を教えるよう要望します。

We petition not to permit classes of history in public schools regarding comfort women, which are based mostly on fabricated information. 

We have heard that an association on the history of Japanese Army Comfort Women will open in Palisades Park and will give lectures by visiting public schools.

If lectures contain "stories" such as the inscription beside the Comfort Women Memorial, we strongly protest against the program.

The comfort women issue is very controversial.  Korea and Japan have not come to the same historical views.  It's quite unfair to take only the side of Korea, especially when a U.S. government investigation could not substantiate the Korean claims.

We petition to give true and just historical classes to the public schools in Palisade Park.
