As someone who deeply values human life, I cannot stand by as people suffer, regardless of their religious belief, faith, intellectual or ideological standpoint. The ongoing conflict in Israel and the occupied Palestinian states of Gaza and West Bank has left countless individuals vulnerable, desperate for food, warmth, security, love and reassurance. We are calling on the UK Government to take immediate action.

We urge our government to open a humanitarian corridor in these regions. This will allow for special Dispensation in terms of our Immigration Policy so that the most vulnerable can find sanctuary within our borders. By enabling owner-occupiers of residential homes in the UK to provide shelter for those tragically affected by this conflict, we can offer a beacon of hope amidst despair.

The precedent is there - during times of war such as with Ukraine crisis where human lives were at stake; we made commendable decisions facilitating people seeking refuge and shelter. It's time we applied consistency in our foreign policy and diplomatic efforts.

According to UN reports (source: United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs), over 2 million people are currently living under blockade conditions with limited access to basic necessities - this is not just about politics; it's about humanity.
