Human rights are universal.
Freedom is non-negotiable.
Justice cannot belong to the powerful.
Peaceful dissent is a right; not a crime.
And no institution is above the people.
This is bigger than Pakistan.
This is bigger than politics.
This is about human rights.

Right now, people in Pakistan are facing political repression, imprisonment, intimidation, and restrictions on their fundamental freedoms. Voices are being silenced. Political participation is being suppressed. Justice is being denied.

First the fascist regime took out a democratically elected government.
Then they went after Imran Khan, the leader millions chose.
Then they imprisoned him. 
Denied due process, independent medical oversight and the right to life. 
Then they came for his party.
They took away its "cricket bat" symbol.
They restricted its candidates.
They silenced journalists.
They arrested activists.
They cracked down on protesters.
They tried civilians before military courts.
They disappeared political workers and their families.
And now they came for his family.
Three of Imran Khan's sisters have also been abducted and detained.
Different day.
Same playbook.
Silence the voice.
Crush dissent.
Intimidate the people.

I am choosing to stand with the people of Pakistan; and with people everywhere whose fundamental rights are being violated. 
In solidarity. With courage. With relentless peaceful resistance, I'm choosing to show up. To Speak. Organize. Sign. Share. Document. Demand accountability.

I refuse to inherit a world where power gets to decide who deserves freedom.

My freedom is not worth more than theirs.
Their freedom is not worth less than ours.

I stand with the people of Pakistan.
I stand with political prisoners.
I stand with peaceful protesters.
I stand with anyone whose fundamental rights are under attack.
