On April 22, 2025, 26 innocent tourists were massacred in broad daylight in the popular tourist town of Pahalgam, Kashmir. This horrifying act of terror unfolded despite the heavy presence of India’s most elite security apparatus—including the Indian Army, paramilitary forces, Intelligence Bureau, RAW, Military Intelligence, and the J&K Police—with thousands of personnel and an extensive network of surveillance and local informants in place.
This was not just an act of terrorism.
It was a total breakdown of national security.
We, the undersigned, demand accountability.
Instead of addressing the glaring failure of intelligence and security forces, the Government of India responded by once again pointing fingers at Pakistan. While Pakistan’s hostile posture toward India is undeniable, continuous blame deflection only reveals our leadership's inability to safeguard Indian citizens on Indian soil.
If terrorists can infiltrate and kill 26 civilians in a high-security area under full daylight, then the real question is: Who is failing India from within?
Where was the intelligence?
Where was the preventive action?
Where was the protection for innocent lives?
This is a failure not just of security forces on the ground, but of the entire leadership structure responsible for India’s internal security and defence. And until those responsible are held accountable, such tragedies will keep recurring—and the blood of innocent Indians will continue to be spilled.
We, as citizens, demand the following:
A public, time-bound judicial inquiry into the Pahalgam massacre.
Immediate suspension and investigation of senior security and intelligence officials responsible for lapses in coordination and prevention.
Resignation of the Union Home Minister and Defence Minister, taking moral and administrative responsibility for this national security failure.
Compensation and justice for the families of the 26 victims—beyond mere words and visits.
An overhaul of India’s counter-terrorism strategy in Kashmir focused on proactive intelligence, human security, and prevention—not reactive rhetoric.
This is not about politics. This is about accountability. About human lives. About trust.
If we continue to blame external enemies for every failure, we will never correct the dysfunction within. Pakistan may plot—but it is India’s duty to protect. And in Pahalgam, that duty was shamefully abandoned.
Sign this petition to demand justice for the 26 lives lost, and to ensure that no more innocent blood is shed due to preventable security lapses and political cowardice.
