The KPFK Union staff has unanimously rejected the so called "Last Best" contract offer from Pacifica. Brazon & Nelson have not budged an inch on the unfair "Take Back" of our earned severance.

    We have accepted almost all of the cuts to our benefits and healthcare, eliminations of a pension and other items. We have presented a very fair and generous counter proposal to the severance issue, forfeiting up to 10 weeks of severance, yet Brazon & Nelson still haven't budged. 

   We've lost SEVENTEEN staff members in the last year. We're operating with an overstretched, skeleton crew. And more cuts are still being pushed. The slashing of the earned severance will make it as cheap as possible to lay off more people, while depriving them of the severance that they've been promised all the years they've been working at the station.
