Thank you for standing with me.

We have begin to take the Petition and signatures to various High Commissions and Embassies with our plea. Our volunteers are contacting their respective representatives around the globe. We have already contacted Canadian and the U.S embassy.

Disturbed by the pictures on the ground with demolition of trees and structures inside the complex of Kartarpur Sahib and the latest model of the new complex, we also have reached out to the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Secretary Mr. Tariq Khan and have communicated our petition to them.

Their office confirmed that the modification are on the way in the complex to make room for a pool (sarovar) but that there are no changes to the Darbar Sahib building. 

We explained to them that we are asking the entire complex to be preserved as is and that the new model as seen by us is not acceptable as it alters the very essence of the place as we know it now. We also raised the concerns of destruction of Baba Nanak's well and the mazaar to make room for the pool. We asked for an immediate STOP on any further destruction and construction inside the complex premises. 

After two days of communication, we got a message with the assurance that the Khoohi (well) and Mazaar (grave) of Baba Nanak "will not be disturbed."  This step is of great consolation to us. We thank Mr. Tariq Khan for this assurance.
