PÉTITION INTERNATIONALE POUR LA DISSOLUTION IMMEDIATE DE LA CAF ET POUR UNE REFORME DE SES INSTANCES DE GOUVERNANCE

Pour la vérité sportive et la crédibilité du football africain

Nous, citoyens africains, amoureux du football, acteurs de la société civile et défenseurs de l’éthique sportive,

Exprimons notre profonde indignation face à la décision sans précédent de la Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) d’annuler la victoire du Sénégal lors de la CAN 2025 pour attribuer le titre au Maroc sur tapis vert.

Cette décision constitue une rupture grave avec les principes fondamentaux du sport. Elle remet en cause la vérité du terrain et installe un précédent dangereux où les résultats peuvent être redéfinis en dehors du jeu.

Mais au-delà de cette décision, c’est la gouvernance même du football africain qui est aujourd’hui interrogée.

Sous la présidence de Patrice Motsepe, la CAF fait face à des critiques croissantes sur son manque de transparence, son fonctionnement interne et sa capacité à garantir l’équité entre les nations africaines.

Par ailleurs, les relations étroites entre la CAF et la FIFA dirigée par Gianni Infantino soulèvent des interrogations légitimes sur l’indépendance réelle des décisions prises au niveau continental et sur l’influence des dynamiques globales dans la gestion du football africain.

Face à ces préoccupations, nous estimons qu’il est impératif d’ouvrir un débat de fond sur la gouvernance du football africain.

Nous dénonçons :

·       Une décision opaque et incompréhensible, prise en rupture avec l’esprit du sport

·       Une gouvernance fragilisée par un déficit de transparence et de redevabilité

·       Une perte de crédibilité de la CAF sur la scène africaine et internationale

·       Une atteinte grave à l’image du football africain

Nous appelons :

·       A l’ouverture immédiate d’une enquête indépendante et transparente

·       A une clarification publique des responsabilités dans cette décision

·       A une réforme profonde de la gouvernance de la CAF

·       A la saisine des juridictions s  portives internationales pour rétablir la vérité du terrain

Le football africain ne peut pas être affaibli par des décisions qui fragilisent sa crédibilité et sa légitimité.

Aujourd’hui, il ne s’agit pas seulement du Sénégal. Il s’agit de l’avenir du football africain.

INTERNATIONAL PETITION FOR THE IMMEDIATE DISSOLUTION OF CAF AND FOR A REFORM OF ITS GOVERNANCE BODIES

For the sporting truth and the credibility of African football

We, African citizens, football lovers, civil society actors and defenders of sports ethics,

Let us express our deep indignation at the unprecedented decision of the African Football Confederation (CAF) to cancel Senegal's victory at the CAN 2025 to award the title to Morocco on a green carpet.

This decision constitutes a serious break with the fundamental principles of sport. It calls into question the truth of the field and sets a dangerous precedent where results can be redefined outside the game.

But beyond this decision, it is the very governance of African football that is being questioned today.

Under the presidency of Patrice Motsepe, CAF is facing increasing criticism over its lack of transparency, its internal functioning and its ability to guarantee equity between African nations.

Moreover, the close relations between CAF and FIFA led by Gianni Infantino raise legitimate questions about the real independence of decisions taken at continental level and the influence of global dynamics in the management of African football.

Faced with these concerns, we believe that it is imperative to open a substantive debate on the governance of African football.

We denounce:

An opaque and incomprehensible decision, taken at odds with the spirit of sport
Governance weakened by a lack of transparency and accountability
A loss of credibility of CAF on the African and international scene
A serious damage to the image of African football
We call:

The immediate opening of an independent and transparent investigation
A public clarification of the responsibilities in this decision
A profound reform of the governance of the CAF
To the referral of international sports courts to restore the truth of the field
African football cannot be weakened by decisions that weaken its credibility and legitimacy.

Today, it is not only about Senegal. This is about the future of African football.

To sign this petition is to defend justice, transparency and the dignity of African sport.
