📜 Pétition pour la consolidation de notre Constitution amendée de 1805

Nous, citoyennes et citoyens haytiens, vivant sur le territoire national et à l’étranger, exprimons notre profonde inquiétude face à la situation actuelle de notre pays.

 

Nous observons avec une vive préoccupation les récentes déclarations et actions qui semblent remettre en question la souveraineté d’Haïti, notamment l’autorisation présumée accordée au président kényan d’annexer notre nation à l’Afrique.

 

Hayti est un pays souverain, doté de sa Constitution de 1805, héritée des pères fondateurs de notre République. En tant que nation libre et indépendante, Hayti mérite le respect de son intégrité territoriale et de son droit à l’autodétermination. Toute décision concernant notre avenir doit être prise par le peuple haytien, comme le stipule notre Constitution, et non par des forces extérieures.

 

Nous sommes alarmés d’apprendre que certains pays seraient en train de rédiger une nouvelle Constitution pour Hayti, sans notre présence ni notre consentement. Cette démarche va à l’encontre de nos valeurs fondamentales, tout comme l’organisation d’élections dont le président serait déjà désigné par la communauté internationale.

Par cette pétition, nous demandons une rencontre avec le Secrétaire général des Nations Unies afin de :

 

Discuter de cette situation préoccupante

 

Faire entendre la voix du peuple haytien

 

Réaffirmer notre droit à l’autodétermination

 

Garantir le respect de notre souveraineté

 

Trouver des solutions durables aux défis que nous affrontons

📜 Petition for the Consolidation of Our Amended 1805 Constitution

We, Haytian citizens living both within Hayti and abroad, express our deep concern regarding the current situation in our country.

 

We observe with great alarm recent statements and actions that appear to undermine Hayti’s sovereignty—particularly the alleged authorization granted to the Kenyan president to annex our nation to Africa.

Hayti is a sovereign country, governed by its 1805 Constitution, passed down by the founding fathers of our Republic. As a free and independent nation, Haiti deserves full respect for its territorial integrity and its right to self-determination. Any decision concerning our future must be made by the Haitian people, as stated in our Constitution—not by external forces.

 

We are deeply troubled to learn that certain countries are drafting a new constitution for Hayti without our presence or consent. This constitution contradicts our values, and we are equally concerned about an election in which the president appears to have already been selected by the international community.

Through this petition, we request a meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations to:

Amplify the voice of the Haytian people

 

Reaffirm our right to self-determination
