Update 3/15/2023 

RIP Chanel 3/15/2023� 

In spite of the multiple Rescue Organizations that asked Lee County DAS for Chanel, the multiple calls to DAS by bonafide fosters and adopters who asked DAS for her, Lee County DAS decided she was unadoptable and proceeded to move her euthanasia date from Thurs, March 16th to Wed. March 15th.  

Kind people even offered to sign waivers and provide training for her but Lee County DAS disregarded their offers. They failed Chanel.

All I can say at this time is Thank You Neighbors for having a heart and compassion for Chanel and our cause. Thank you for stepping up, sharing her post, calling your friends, family members and other neighbors to spread the word for our sweet Chanel.

With that said , as angry, crushed and devastated we all are, please do not let this discourage us from helping other dogs and animals in need. Lee County is the cruel and cold reality of a kill shelter and they are everywhere. We can make a difference and make the world a little better place. Lets try❤️Please do consider fostering, adopting, volunteering, donating to Organizations and rescues that help animals in need.
