The Tasmanian minister responsible for animal welfare says the state government "never want to see this situation ever happen again in Tasmania".
However, it has not moved to strengthen laws against puppy farming, nor support RSPCA Tasmania in its efforts to rehabilitate and rehome the 250 dogs rescued from Tasmanian Labradoodles. These dogs have "an array of issues" that require costly veterinary care, including severe matting, hernias, teeth and ear infections and more.
Please consider sharing this petition to put further pressure on the state government to outlaw puppy farms like Tasmanian Labradoodles.
