We, the community, call for immediate action regarding the current ownership of Hamburger Mary’s 2.0 in Jacksonville FL.

Under the CURRENT management & Ownership of Blake Shepherd, Joey Brown as well as Operations Manager Jordyn Sinclair Shepherd. Hamburger Mary’s in Jacksonville FL has become an unsafe, unhealthy and harmful environment for LGBTQ+ workers/employees AND the customers. Reports from staff, customers and those who work closely, describe unsafe working conditions and intimidating behavior that is discriminatory and disrespectful toward the LGBTQ+ community. This is unacceptable in any workplace, especially in an establishment that should serve as a safe and welcoming space! 💔 

We oppose granting Hamburger Mary’s 2.0 an exception for a 4COP license unless the ownership makes necessary changes. Specifically, the owner and manager should either bring in experienced management or complete accredited business & management training to ensure they understand how to properly operate a business AND uphold their responsibilities. THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY DESERVES BETTER!
