Our Community Re-imagines Saint Rose

Our Community Re-imagines Saint Rose
The Issue
The Pine Hills Neighborhood Association (“PHNA”) invites organizations and individuals to join us as we seek a vibrant reimagined opportunity at the Saint Rose campus. Read our full statement here for more details.
What We’re Asking For
The former College of Saint Rose campus has the potential to be a vibrant, safe, multigenerational space that welcomes visitors and residents of Albany County. This area should be active during the day and in the evening seven days a week with a balance of public, private, and commercial uses that include a mix of housing for renters and homeowners. The historic and modern buildings have character and promise to be used for a wide variety of activities including performing and visual arts, educational opportunities, community gathering areas, green space, retail locations, and offices, with resources, services, and activities for all. We urge Albany County Pine Hills Land Authority (“ACPHLA”) to complete this redevelopment plan before selling any properties, with the possible exception of the originally intended use.
The undersigned organizations and individuals look forward to actively participating in the upcoming strategic redevelopment process for the campus. The ACPHLA should ensure that the process has input from key stakeholders including the undersigned groups and individuals from throughout the county.
