Monday's CROA Workshop, Tuesday's OSCB Workshop and later Board Meeting have laid out the complexities of this situation. The combined voice of all who signed cannot be ignored by The Celebration Company and the OSCB. Now we have to FOCUS that voice and its power, examine ALL possible solutions while remaining vigilant about opportunistic, oppressive solutions which threaten to overwhelm the real goal here, which is safe, quality education for all. CROA will be holding a meeting (I know, I know) Friday evening to select a Task Force. My opinion is that this is a great step, that an impartial evaluation of all the options is a positive move towards resolution. We have a great deal of talent in many areas, the selection of a chairperson is key. We have wonderful, capable, residents and among them is Pat Schroeder, former Congresswoman from Colorado. Pat has tremendous intelligence, affability, and legendary negotiating skills-if you look up "experience" in the dictionary Pat's picture likely shows up right next to it. I believe it would represent a conflict of interest for any sitting CROA member to serve in this capacity. Every one of them, while skilled, has a history with ALL of the players involved. We need fresh eyes and a real willingness to examine all options in search of the very best schools possible. Below is a link to the CROA workshop of 11/15
