Last night the entire CROA Board spoke out in strong opposition to the Celebration Company plan which would bring 1000 additional students to our K-8 school. Todd Rimmer of the Celebration Company braved the large crowd and said many things, all in a calming voice. Yet in truth the relevant points he made were very simple-TCC/Disney WANTS to sell Island Village, the School Board cannot act without TCC/Disney money, the School Board WILL vote at the DECEMBER meeting. We say, TCC/Disney, remove your money and there will be NO VOTE, no plan. We say NO ISLAND VILLAGE, NO PROBLEM! Thank you for signing the petition, we have gained a voice but now we need action. If you have a skill or resource, connections to the media, are a lawyer, can speak out loudly and often, be part of a public presence or have ideas to bring the kind of publicity Disney is NOT looking for, but has brought upon themselves here contact me cookiekelly@mac.com.
