I and others continue to try to get Congressman Ruiz to stop this land grab effort. I am a Disabled Veteran, and I have discovered that there are many Disabled Veterans that use small-scale mining as a form of therapy for mind and body. Our disabilities vary widely and each of us find being in the outdoors, away from life's stresses, a relief and very therapeutic.

But Ruiz wants to take this from us Disabled Veterans. I have informed him of how taking this land will eliminate opportunities for us to use these mining claims for our own mental and physical therapy. But he and his office have ignored this aspect completely. Does he really want to FOREVER BE KNOWN as the Congressman that said NO to Disabled Veterans?  In an election year? I know that the person running against him, Ian Weeks, supports us and stands with us in this fight.
