Our efforts are working. The opposition to the Monument and Expansion is growing. I attended a recent meeting in Coachella where more organizations, including a couple municipalities, are opposing this ill-conceived effort. 

I am continuing to work with the Staff of Congressman Ruiz on trying to get a face to face with the Congressman. 

Everywhere you look on the web, as well as in the Press Conference the Congressman held in September, their plan is to get President Biden to use the Antiquities Act of 1906 and establish the Monument by Executive Order. Biden only has a year left in office. Congressman Ruiz's Staff keeps saying this is a 5-6 year process, but that is not possible since they want Biden to sign an Executive Order. They do not say "the President"; they say "President Biden" specifically. They will not take a chance on Biden getting a second term, meaning they have one year to get this done.  We have to fight, hard and continuously.
