Despite the explicit prohibitions found in state law and Middlebury's own Zoning Regulations, the Middlebury Planning & Zoning Commission approved the proposed warehouse and trucking terminal at 1535 Straits Turnpike at its Thursday, 4/3 meeting. While disappointing, this outcome was not unexpected. In response, an administrative appeal has been filed by the Middlebury Small Town Alliance ("MSTA") and abutting property owners to challenge this errant decision. We are excited to partner with the MSTA to defend the eastern side of Middlebury against this threat to our community.
