Hello!
We wanted to share an important update and ask for your immediate help.
This week, Fox 11 published an article about a proposed state Senate bill that would have converted destroyed Pacific Palisades homes into affordable housing—but the community came together and successfully put the plan on pause. (.. In less than a week, more than 23,000 locals have signed along with the resistance.)

Torrance still has a chance to do the same.
As you may know, the Homekey+ Project in Torrance proposes turning the Extended Stay America on Torrance Blvd into permanent supportive housing for individuals with serious mental health and behavioral issues. The location is directly between two senior communities and just blocks from schools and homes.
This is not the right location.
We must act before funding is finalized. Just like the residents of Pacific Palisades, we must raise our voices. If we stay silent, the project will move forward — affecting the safety, value, and character of our city.
Please take one minute to act:
📧 Email: homekey@hcd.ca.gov (subject line: Torrance Extended Stay America- Homekey + Application)
📞 Call: 916-263-2911
Tell the California HCD:
You oppose the Torrance Homekey+ Project at this location. Ask them to deny the funding and listen to community concerns.
Together, we can make a difference—just like Pacific Palisades did.
Thank you for standing with us to protect Torrance.
