Dear supporters,
Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve reached 1200 online signatures, in addition to hundreds of hand-written ones! Your voices are being heard, and we’re gaining momentum.
Sharing the online petition is key to maintaining petition strength, as is keeping our boots-on-the-ground petitioners and local store owners engaged to continue obtaining signatures in person. We will be setting a precedent with this one, to protect other productive farmlands, water systems, and keep 'springs' exactly as they are: pristine and natural, the purest of the water that people come from miles away to harvest, and free from SOLAR 'FARM' destruction. Some people rely on the natural spring water as their only source of fresh drinking water. An ongoing flow of beautiful water that is filtered naturally and never freezes; an incredibly beautiful and truly rare thing!
In this, we can include a MASSIVE ECOSYSTEM consisting of large and small animals, bird species, turtles, amphibians, fish, plants, mushrooms, flowers, pollinators, and other beautiful beings, such as the microbes that keep the soil healthy, that will be impacted by this proposal.
Many letters have been written to the Mayor of Sables-Spanish Rivers Township and Council Members. There is a MEETING being held on SEPTEMBER 10TH.
TIME: 6:30 PM (sharp or earlier)
WHERE: Township Office at 11 Birch Lake Rd
WHY: To support a delegation to the council against the industrial solar installation and other projects being proposed in our area.
Your presence matters, and if you need a ride locally within the Township, please feel free to leave a message below.
We hope that many can attend!
We’re not done petitioning yet! Please help spread the word and share this petition with friends, family, and like-minded individuals this weekend. DONATIONS ARE NOT NECESSARY. PLEASE JUST SHARE THIS petition out.
👉 Every action counts. Let’s keep pushing until we see real change.
With Gratitude & Kind Regards,
Your Petition Team
Have a great weekend, we appreciate you, so do THE 500 ACRES OF PRISTINE FARMLAND, NATURAL SPRING, ECOSYSTEM AND WATER WAYS!
