I received an update from Lee County regarding the proposed Seminole Campground Expansion project.

The public hearing will still be opened on June 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM due to a previously granted continuance. However, the case will not be heard on that date.

According to County staff, the applicant has not yet submitted required revisions related to utility and road improvement changes. As a result, County staff cannot move forward with presenting the application to the Hearing Examiner.

County staff is preparing a memorandum requesting that the case be remanded back to staff for further review while the applicant works through revisions to the Master Concept Plan and project scope.

Once the revised plans are submitted, reviewed, and determined to be sufficient, the County will restart the public notification process, including updated signage and public advertisements before a new hearing date is scheduled.

At this time, no new hearing date has been set. I will share additional updates as they become available.
