The February Park News stated that the Developer would be formally providing the proposed Zoning Amendment to the Planning Commission "for review purposes only." The Agenda for this meeting stated: "There will be no presentation."
Despite that, the Developer in fact presented, as you can see in the photograph. And citizens spoke. Nobody had received a copy of the Developer's proposed Zoning Amendment or any other documents from the Developer ahead of time.
The Board of Supervisors will make the final decision. The Planning Commission can only recommend approval to rezone this parcel of land from R2 to R4. But the Supervisors generally rubberstamp the Planning Commission's recommendations.
We expect to receive all of the documents today and will be reviewing the video of the meeting again. We will share that video once it is uploaded to YouTube or otherwise made accessible.
There are many questions of the Developer that were not asked at this meeting because nobody was truly prepared to do so. For all concerned citizens, with questions or comments about this Developer's request to rezone from R2 to R4, the time to show up in person is March 22, 2023.
