The Issue
අසාධාරණ ඉංධන මිල ඉහල දැමීම නිසා මෙන්ම අසාධාරණ විදුලි ගාස්තු ඉහල දැමීම හේතුවෙන් සමස්ත ජනතාව පීඩා වින්දේය.
විදුලිගාස්තු වැඩිකිරීමට හා පාරදෘශ්ය නොවන ආකාරයට ඉංධන මිල ඉහලදැමීමට එරෙහිව ශ්රී ලංකා මහජන උපයෝගිතා කොමිෂන් සභාව සහ එහි සභාපති ජනක රත්නායක මහතා හඩ නැගු බව ඔබ හොදින් ම දනී. ඝෘජුව වැඩ කරන අවංක රාජ්ය නිලධාරීන් දේශපාලකයින්ට රුස්සන්නේ නැත
2023 පෙබරවාරි මාසයේදී විදුලි ගාස්තු ඉහල දැමීමට ජනක රත්නායක මහතා එරෙහි වු අතර ලංකා විදුලි බල මණ්ඩලයද මේ වන නැවත විදුලි ගාස්තු අඩුකිරීමට යෝජනා ඉදිරිපත් කරමින් ජනක රත්නායක මහතාගෙ තීරණය නිවැරැදි බව පිළිගෙන තිබේ.
උසස් පෙල සිසුන් අදුරේ පාඩම් කර විභාගයට ලියද්දී ජනක රත්නායක මහතා ඔවුන්ට අඛණ්ඩව විදුලි ය දිය හැකි බව පහදා දී නීතිමය ක්රියාමාර්ග ගැනීමට පවා ඉදිරිපත් විය. ලංවිම සහ අමාත්යවරයා විසින් විදුලි ගාස්තු වැඩිකිරීම සදහා උසස් පෙල සිසුන් බිල්ලට ගත් බව ගාස්තු වැඩිකල දිනම විදුලි කප්පාදුව නතර කිරීමෙන් ඔප්පු විය.
විදුලිබල අමාත්ය කංචන විජේසේකර විසින් මහවැලි බලාගාර, ලක්ෂපාන ජල විදුලි බලාගාර හා අනෙකුත් ජල විදුලි බලාගාර පුද්ගලික සමාගම් වලට විකිණීම සදහා පනතක් සකස් කරන බවට මුලින්ම හෙලි කලේද ජනක රත්නායක මහතා විසිනි. මෙවැනි දුෂන හෙලිකිරීම අමාත්යවරයා විසින් දකින්නේ තමාව ප්රසිද්ධියේ විවේචනය කිරීමක් වශයෙනි. මේ කරුණු චෝදනා බවට පත්කර ජනක රත්නායක මහතා ශ්රී ලංකා මහජන උපයෝගිතා කොමිෂන් සභාවෙන් ඉවත් කිරීම සදහා දැන් පාර්ලිමේන්තුවට යෝජනාවක් ඉදිරිපත් කර තිබේ
ජනතාවගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් වෙනුවෙන් ක්රියාකිරීම නොරිස්සන අමාත්ය කංචන විජේසේකර විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කර අුැති අභුත චෝදනා පත්රයට ජනක රත්නායක මහතා විසින් නිසි පිළිතුරු ලබා දී ඇත. ශ්රී ලංකා මහජන උපයෝගිතා කොමිෂන් සභාවේ සභාපති තනතුරෙන් ජනක රත්නායක මහතා ඉවත්කිරීම සදහා ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇති යෝජනාවට අත ඔසවන සියලුම මංත්රීවරු සිදුකරන්නේ ඔවුන් බලයට පත් කල චන්දදායකයන්ගේ අභිලාෂයන්ට එරෙහි වීමයි.

The unjustified escalation of fuel prices and electricity tariffs has had a severe impact on the entire population of Sri Lanka. It is evident that the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka, led by Chairman Mr. Janaka Ratnayake, has fearlessly voiced their concerns about these hikes in a transparent manner. As dedicated and independent government officials, they have worked diligently to consider the welfare of the people and the hardships they face.
In February 2023, Mr. Janaka Ratnayake opposed the unjust increase in electricity tariffs, and this week, the Ceylon Electricity Board has acknowledged the correctness of his decision by proposing a reduction in electricity tariffs once again.
During the A Level examinations of 2022/23, Mr. Janaka Ratnayake took legal action against the Ceylon Electricity Board, Ministry of Power and Energy, and the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation. He emphasized the need to provide uninterrupted power to students during these crucial exams. Unfortunately, the deliberate failure of the CEB and the Minister resulted in A Level students being deprived of uninterrupted electricity.
Mr. Janaka Ratnayake was the first to publicly disclose the government's plans to privatize state-owned power stations, including Mahaweli Power Station, Lakshapana Hydro Power Station, and other hydro power stations. His public disclosure was seen as criticism by the Power Minister, Kanchana Wijesekera. Consequently, a proposal has been submitted to Parliament to falsely transform these facts into accusations and remove Mr. Janaka Ratnayake from his position in the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka.
In response to the baseless accusations and charges presented by Minister Kanchana Wijesekera, Mr. Janaka Ratnayake has provided compelling responses. It is important to note that the Members of Parliament who support the proposal to remove Mr. Janaka Ratnayake as Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka are acting against the wishes of the voters who entrusted them with power.
We strongly urge all Sri Lankans to unite and sign this petition, standing against the flawed political system and rejecting the proposal submitted to Parliament for the removal of Chairman Mr. Janaka Ratnayake.
Together, we can protect the best interests of our nation.

இந்த நிலைமைக்கு பிரதான காரணம் அமைச்சரே தவிர மக்களுக்கு சுமையேற்ற வேண்டாம் என்று கூறிய இலங்கை பொதுப்பயன்பாடுகள் ஆணைக்குழுவின் தலைவர் அல்ல.
மாணவர்களுக்கு இறுதி பரீட்சை எழுத கூட விடாமல் மின்துண்டிப்பு செய்யத அடிப்படையில் மனி உறிமை மீறலாகும். மாணவர்கள் பரீட்சை எழுதும் காலத்திற்கு மாத்திரம் மின்துண்டிப்பு செய்வேண்டாம் என ஜனக ரத்நாயக மனித உரிமைகள் ஆணைக்குழுவில் கூறினார். வழக்கும் தொடுத்தார்.
இத்தகைய நேர்மையான அரச அதிகாரிகளால் அரசியல்வாதிகளுக்கு எப்போதும் பிரச்சினைதான் அதனால் தான் விரட்ட நினைக்கின்றார் அமைச்சர் காஞ்சன.
மின்சார கட்டணத்தை அதிகரித்தால் மின்சார சபை லாபமடையும் என்றனர். ஆனால் அதிகரிக்க எடுத்த முடவே பிழை என தற்போது ஒப்புகொள்கின்றனர். இதற்கெதிராக குரல் கொடுத்தால் பதவியிலிருந்து விலக்க நினைக்கின்றர்.
