It has come to our attention that there is planning underway for the construction of a 38 bed House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) within our beloved community in Wednesbury, UK. While we recognize the need for affordable housing, we are concerned about the potential impact this could have on our community. HMO accommodation often houses more people than traditional housing, which can strain local resources. Research indicates that areas with high concentrations of HMOs often experience issues with parking, waste management, noise, and other facets of life quality (source: UK government published research on HMOs). We believe that our community's character, composed of family homes and quiet streets, would be significantly altered by such a development. We urge the relevant planning authorities to reconsider this proposal, taking account of the concerns of local residents. The fact that there is a primary school directly opposite and It's crucial to remember that each planning decision shapes our community, in the short term and for generations to come.
