As you know, our community is facing a critical decision regarding the proposed convenience store and gas station at the corner of Broadhead Road and Garden Valley Parkway. Many of us are deeply concerned about the potential negative impacts this development could have on our neighborhood, our environment, and most importantly, the safety of our children.
To make sure our voices are heard and our concerns are taken seriously, we are seeking to raise $3,000 to hire a Community and Environmental Defense Firm. This firm will conduct a comprehensive analysis to demonstrate the negative impacts of this gas station on our neighborhood. Their Strategy Analysis Research will strengthen our case by providing a detailed assessment of the proposal and its risks.
Here’s what the analysis will include:
- Validating our concerns regarding the project's impacts.
- Identifying additional impacts not yet considered, such as traffic safety, pollution, and school proximity.
- Proposing modifications to the project to address concerns.
- Reviewing the legal requirements for approval and compiling evidence to show the project does not meet those standards.

This research and strategy are vital if we are to convince the Waxahachie Planning and Zoning Commission to deny this permit or, at the very least, ensure that any approval addresses our concerns fully.
