Hello to all supporters and thank you for standing with us in opposition of RapidTO.
Here’s the latest
The Executive Committee vote is set for July 16. That’s when the city will decide the fate of Bathurst & Dufferin, but there is a catch.
The TTC or the City of Toronto, still have not shared any data or revisions to address residents and businesses concerns - Since May 10 from the FIRST Virtual Meeting.
Toronto and TTC have also failed to produce studies on parking loss on these main roads, resulting side street congestion, safety for children, pedestrians and cyclists or economic impacts on businesses. Residents living on the interior streets also have not been told how the city plans to deal with the resulting increased parking congestion that permit holders, who pay to park, will be affected.
Simply put, how can the Executive Committee vote with confidence on a plan that is so understudied, unprepared and unwanted by its constituents?
As a group, we have been pushing hard by canvasing neighbourhoods to show the city that the people who actually live and work here should have a say in how things are done.
