Hi everyone!

Thank you all for your support! This petition is making a HUGE difference in the push to conserve this forest. A lot has happened since my last update and my troop's meeting with the CEO:

• GSCNC has a new CEO whom we have sent this petition to in order to keep the pressure to conserve this forest.
• An article was published in the Washington Post about the efforts to save the forest (read about it here!)
• We've met with the Bay Journal, an environmental newspaper who will also publish an article later this year about all our efforts.
• Last week on October 25, the Maryland Board of Public Works voted to approve the sale of $12.8 million to Maryland Parks & Planning Commission to conserve the forest! The governor (Wes Moore) also made remarks about how doing this would protect the forest for generations to come.
• The next step will be the meeting on November 9 of the Prince George's County Planning Commission, where they will once again vote whether or not to approve this sale.
