The governor of virginia recently made an order (starting after winter break or August next school year) for phones to be put away from the first to last bell. I think this is completely unfair on the students as we aren’t allowed to use them during lunch, in the hallways, or when the teachers think it’s right. There also may be unfortunate situations happening in school where kids need to contact their parents, and they may not have the time or ability to go to the office to contact them. Other students may have concentration issues and listening to music helps them work more productively, with this new rule, they will no longer be able to do this. In conclusion, me and my fellow students believe this policy should be overturned and the “no phones” idea should be executed differently. Let’s make a difference.
