On March 20, 2024, some Grand Lagoon residents were given this updated decision of the planned development that includes two Marriott hotels called Town Place and Element. These are more than 200 planned hotel rooms.

The differences between this plan mainly depict a walkway from the hotel sites to the Captain Anderson's parking lot, a fence referred to as a privacy fence between the neighboring subdivision and the hotel parking lot. The turn onto Thomas Drive does not indicate whether it's a right-turn only or if cars can turn left into oncoming traffic on Thomas Drive.
