How much more has to happen before we start seeing some public support from those we voted into office? We have a Department of Fish and Wildlife whose Director just received a very public dress down from the Vice Chairman of the DFW Commission. We have been told that a Ten Year Chinook Harvest Plan was conducted behind locked doors, again with Tribal representatives having the opportunity to include their interests, where we had to hope WDFW leadership had our backs! We continue to grow our numbers, increase our outcry and even have the support of major sport organizations and media outlets, yet WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR AND LEGISLATORS? Can they all be daft? Can they continue to act as if everything is fine in the Department that has gone off the rails? Our Commission has heard us loud and clear, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! END THESE SECRET MEETINGS. It is now time we turn out attention to those who we voted in to be our representatives, and who we can vote out! We need to send the same message we sent to the Commission, that SECRET MEETINGS HAVE NO PLACE IN THE CONSERVATION OF OUR SALMON!
