Petition updateOpen the WDFW/Tribal Co-manager North of Falcon meetings to the PublicLET'S GIVE THEM SOME "PUBLIC INPUT!"
Washington Citizen SportsmenTacoma, WA, United States
Jun 10, 2017
Once again, WDFW has shaken the snow globe in an attempt to make an ugly situation look better! A recent notification was sent out (see below) that WDFW is asking for PUBLIC INPUT on rule changes for the upcoming season. The irony of this is that the majority of the proposed changes were agreed to in a meeting that the public was restricted from attending!!! THE SECRET MEETINGS ARE A DISASTER TO OUR FISHERIES!!! WDFW and the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission have worked in unison to keep you, the tax paying citizen from having any real voice in the management of our fish, and ultimately are driving the sport fishermen to planter trout in urban lakes, leaving the salmon for Tribal and NT commercial harvest! Fish that you and I pay for! WDFW and the NWIFC are counting on us to melt away. To loose interest (or hope) and to once again let them “off the hook” so they can continue the “business as usual” disregard for the thousands of sport fishermen in this state. If you are as mad and fed up as we are with this, please take the opportunity to attend the so called PUBLIC INPUT meeting and let them know THAT THE SECRET MEETINGS MUST END!!! If you cannot attend, write, call or email a strong statement expressing your outrage. They are counting on us giving up and doing nothing, let them know they are wrong! Here is a copy of the notification with the contact information and meeting information: ---------------------WDFW NOTIFICATION ---------------------------- 2017 North of Falcon Rulemaking - Recreational Salmon Fishery - Puget Sound Freshwater and Saltwater
