Hi everyone,

Thanks again to you all for adding your name to the open letter addressed to Thomas Hübl and The Collective Trauma Summit 2025 about silence on the genocide in Palestine. We are now at over 170 signatures - and counting.

I am so pleased to share that yesterday, Dr. Gabor Mate, international trauma expert, holocaust survivor, author and tireless advocate for Palestine, signed our petition, endorsing the message to the wellness world. He writes:

"Notwithstanding my friendship with and undiminished personal regard for leading figures taking part in this Collective Trauma Conference, I feel compelled to add my voice publicly to those calling for the healing/therapeutic community to acknowledge and to address the unspeakable collective trauma that has been for decades inflicted on the people of Palestine, and especially in the past two years. A trauma witnessed and grieved by millions around the world." 

Alongside Gabor, Zaya and Maurizio Benazzo, leading voices in the spiritual / wellness world, and the duo behind the Science and Nonduality platform and the acclaimed films The Wisdom of Trauma, and While Olive Trees Weep, which presents a searing account of life under Israeli occupation in Palestine, have also signed. 

In addition, the inimitable Dr. Lara Sheehi, Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, Qatar, Research Fellow at the University of South Africa's Institute for Social and Health Sciences, and the founding faculty director of the Psychoanalysis and the Arab World Lab signed just this evening.

The Collective Trauma Summit 2025 may have ended today, but your collective voice grows... 

The letter has been sent to Thomas and his team yesterday and we await a response... I will also send it to other leading names presenting at the conference who have been silent on genocide in Palestine. In the meantime, we will continue to collect signatures - so please keep sharing.
