In another last minute move, the Municipality released their 318 page agenda meeting for tomorrow's council meeting yesterday morning.
This hefty document package contains many letters from concerned citizens in relation to the Village Planning Review, and buried deep within the agenda, at page 107 is Mr. Sturtevant's "What We Heard Report". This contains the Planning Department's assessment of what was expressed at the Public Consultation Meetings (and some other items that appear to have been addressed outside of the realm of public meetings) for Council's consideration.
The Report, (which was prepared by the same team that prepared the proposed Village Plan), presents Council with the Department's assessment of potential modifications the Council can instruct them to make to the proposed Village Review. The Report does not appear to explicitly request instruction on whether there should be any further public consultation on the revised drafts before a public hearing.

With the Public (and Council) again, being given so little notice to diligently review and reflect on comprehensive document packages, it is essential that we continue to ensure the Planning Review is occurring with careful consideration & integrity.
We encourage you to attend the Council Meeting at Municipal Chambers located at 151 King Street, Chester, tomorrow, October 26th, 2023 at 8:45 AM, for the Planning Department's presentation of the Report to Council.
