98 Signatures! And We've Escalated Our Request to City Leadership

Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared our petition!
We've now reached 98 signatures, an encouraging milestone that shows growing community support for fairer access to the soccer fields at Westlake Village Community Park.
Here's what's happened since our last update.
Our initial outreach has gone unanswered.
On October 14, we contacted the city's Community Services Department, including the Field Permit Coordinator and department management. We shared video evidence of unused field space, explained our concerns, and requested a meeting to discuss potential solutions.
After receiving no response, we sent a polite follow-up. Unfortunately, neither email has been acknowledged.
We've now escalated the issue to the City Manager.
Today, we reached out directly to Westlake Village City Manager Rob de Geus, sharing our previous correspondence, supporting evidence, and petition.
We've requested his assistance in arranging a meeting and initiating a review of the city's field allocation policies.
Our position remains the same: We fully support youth sports. We're simply asking the city to explore ways to make better use of publicly funded fields so that adult recreational players can enjoy them too.
What's Next?
We're awaiting a response from city leadership. If necessary, we'll explore bringing the issue before the City Council.
In the meantime, please continue sharing the petition with local residents, friends, and teammates. Every additional signature demonstrates the community's interest in finding a practical solution.
