March 2022 Sulphur Parks & Recreation (SPAR) voted not to open Center Circle Pool for the  Summer Session. The Frasch pool was permanently closed several years ago, which left only two other recreational facilities available to the public; Center Circle Pool and The Water Park. The Waterpark is great, but for many lower income individuals it is not affordable. The Center Circle Pool, at $1.75 a visit, was affordable to almost everyone. There are also many families who have children on “the spectrum” . The bells, whistles, water falling buckets are sensory overload for these children. The Center Circle pool was a nice alternative. The purpose of SPAR is that everyone in the community have access to recreation. Please join us in letting the SPAR Board know we would like to see the Center Circle Pool opened.
