Taylor Swift's Eras Tour will be the highlight of the music world's year. Yet, hard of hearing and deaf people will not be able to experience it in theaters because there are no open captions. 

Let Taylor Swift and her production company know you want open captioned showings of the concert. 

Hard of hearing and deaf people listen to music but can benefit from open captions on theater screens. 

Open captions also benefit some people with autism, attention deficit disorder, aphasia, auditory processing disorder, kids learning to read, adults learning English as a second language, and many young people just prefer subtitles.

The movie will go out with closed captioning but those devices are flawed and limited. Closed captioning can only be seen by the individual. Open captioning is the only equal opportunity option. 

Open captioning puts subtitles directly on theater screens while closed captioning is only for the special devices that few people prefer. 

I'm hard of hearing and I have problems with speech clarity. I love open captioning because it makes me feel a part of the theater experience. Let people like me have the same opportunities as hearing people.
