I'm Patrick Smylie and I am a resident of Los Alamitos, CA and I deeply care about the health, well-being, athletic development and character of our youth. Our community is home to many young athletes who are passionate about sports but lack the necessary facilities to hone their skills and improve their performance. As many of you know I am deeply invested in helping our kids succeed in and enjoy their youth sports experience. This is why I am asking for your support to establish a Redline Sports Performance Center in our city. Redline Athletics is a national franchise brand that focuses on athletic development for youth athletes, and I want to open a location in Los Alamitos. I am in the process of obtaining a permit for the space and a strong showing of support from the community can help make my case with the city. 

According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, regular physical activity can help children improve cardiorespiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, control weight, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression (source: Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans). A dedicated sports facility would not only provide an avenue for these physical activities but also foster teamwork, discipline and leadership among our youth - crucial life skills that go beyond the playing field.

The proposed facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art training equipment suitable for various sports disciplines. It will be staffed with experienced coaches who can guide our young athletes towards achieving their full potential while ensuring their safety and providing age-appropriate training. Our goal is to help build an athletic foundation for any sport or physical activity and to provide a positive social experience for our kids.
