Vulnerability and sexual abuse in children is documented internationally and we cannot normalize it. These aggressions leave traces for life that are difficult to heal, which unfortunately even mark their lives forever until they reach even prostitution or suicide.

It is an infamy that they are figures of authority and trust who commit the abuse. We have reached the extreme of cynicism, cruelty and humiliation. The Dalai Lama, self-proclaimed spiritual leader by divine reincarnation, in charge of guiding through the practice of Buddhism, in which compassion is practiced as the main foundation, has asked a child to kiss him first on the mouth and a second time to suck his tongue, in front of an audience of fans who applaud and laugh.

The surprised child moved his body backwards, indicating rejection, but ended up giving in to the pressure. That is public abuse! Accepted, applauded and normalized. What could be happening indoors?

We urge the United Nations to issue a recommendation for the Chinese government to conduct an investigation into the Dalai Lama and alleged child abuse. 

Now it’s too late but let's not waste any more time! If the Dalai Lama felt confident enough to perform this action publicly and televised, what background is there and for how many years could this has been happening? We cannot be complicit!
