Yesterday I was invited by my MPP Lorne Coe to meet with Minister Lecce, the Ontario Minister of Education, and two of his staff members. They heard us!! Thank you to everyone who signed the petition, shared it with your friends and family and started discussions around this topic.

During our discussion, we talked about the concern and the potential to add a layer of protection for the children and families of Ontario. They have read our emails and our listening to our ideas while doing their research. They see value in a Safe Arrival Program for daycares to help protect against hot car deaths and other areas of concern. 

The meeting has left me very hopeful that change will be made. That more protection will be added and future tragic incidents can be potentially saved.

Please continue to voice your opinions and concerns to members of your local government. Your regional councillors, your mayor, your MPP- they can all help. Regional councillors are coming up for elections. When they come to your door, tell them about the petition and ask for their support.

I will continue to update everyone as I learn more and progress is made.
