As a Black woman fighting for her right to have control over her own face, these times are trying.
To see people protest and riot continuously for Black men is heart warming yet mind boggling. How am I so overlooked by the same people demanding justice for men that share my skin tone?
Is it because the men that lead the offenses against me claim to run a Black Bank? If we focus only on the dignity of dead Black men, we will continue to have these bi-annual protests and riots with no structural or systemic change.
To create change, one must move beyond the emotions and I have down that. I have asserted my rights in the courts and have found it is the lawyers and court processes which promote and nurture the continued atrocities which society faces daily.
As people across social media platforms observe a #blackout in solidarity with supporting the dignity of Black lives, I ask that you share my plight again.
Please help me STOP ONE UNITED BANK. I still need your help. Share and ask others to Sign this Petition.
I thank you with all my heart and soul.
Love,
