Polar bears are a vulnerable species and true indicators of the health of the Arctic ecosystem. They have evolved to occupy a small ecological niche and female polar bears depend on the coastal areas and the ice attached to the mainland for maternity dens. This habitat is critical to their survival and disturbances can cause much harm to the remaining population.

Please take a moment to sign this letter to David Bernhardt, Acting Interior Secretary and let him know how you feel about drilling for oil and risking this balance of nature in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The deadline for public comment is March 13, 2019.

Help keep the ANWR the biggest and wildest publicly owned wildlife refuge in the United States.
