Late last Friday night, in my update asking for ideas, no matter how hypothetical and sketchy, I wrote that I was confident that we would reach a triple digit number of supporters by the end of the weekend. When I went to bed late last night (Sunday), I checked the petition again on my device just before I went to sleep. I smiled. My supporters had come through. YOU came through. We now have 103 supporters and 5,555 views!
Now is a time to celebrate. Please take a moment to listen to the Youtube video of the original rock anthem composed just for this time and place, Buffalo, New York, betwixt and between two Great American Eclipses. I must shout out to Melissa Kate, Bill Nowak, and Mark Parker for helping this anthem come into existence. Also, I would be remiss to not recognize Gordy Dysinger, who is striving to get this very particular anthem some air-time. The making of the anthem was a distinct event in itself. Melissa and I were planning on it being a jazz song, but under the magical stylings of Mark Parker’s electric guitar artistry, it became a rocking rally cry! Something wonderful happened in the studio that day, and we should share it with Western New York and the world. It is an anthem just for us, just for where we are, right now. Take a moment to listen, and please share Eclipsecstatic far and wide. This shall be our celebration of getting the number of Eclipse Escapaders to triple digits. If for some reason you can’t access it through the portal here, just go to Youtube and search for Eclipsecstatic (Original) - Buffalo, New York. Or, just try “Eclipsecstatic,” and you should find it.
There will be letters to politicians to write, and contacts with the media to be made, and suggestions for whom we might recruit, and more essays on what the Escapade means for me to pound out. But for now, let us cry, “We are ECLIPSECSTATIC!”
