Old Growth Logging in BC

Old Growth Logging in BC

The Issue

Our ancient forests are fast disappearing. The lack of regulation around logging and preservation of our natural history has resulted in a near eradication of high productivity trees. Only 2.7% of the population of "high productivity" old growth remains, with the rest falling under, "low productivity."

Old growth is divided into two categories: high and low productivity. High productivity trees are typically the oldest, being the best at erosion prevention and carbon recycling.

Signing this petition will help display the huge number of individuals who oppose the extreme and damaging logging operations.
