The climate crisis and systemic racism are not separate issues

First off, thanks to everyone who has signed this petition.

Climate change and systemic racism are interconnected. Low-income communities of color are often harder hit by climate change-related disasters and also endure health risks because of fossil fuel companies operating where land and labor are cheap. Policies that benefit the climate also benefit those who suffer because of systemic racism. Working to fix the climate is also working for racial justice.
