As we approach July 4th 2023 many of us will spend time with family and friends to celebrate Independence Day here in The USA. The word FREEDOM will be showcased in many forms as gather to celebrate the Red, White and Blue.

However,  I do wonder what those colors represent to an innocent person wrongfully convicted of a crime, having their freedom recklessly stolen and the key thrown away by overzealous and overconfident prosecutors unwilling to accept that they could be wrong despite their ultimate guilty verdict after 3 trials. There was no evidence…., the lead investigator was dishonest about his credentials, there were no signs of a struggle,  the 911 operator was asleep when  Ryan’s 911 call came in, the autopsy was rushed, witnesses stories changed or did not fit the facts of the case and the list goes on! 
DNA testing could help answer questions or rule things out. Give some possible answers where there are none. 
Warren County should release the Sarah Widmer’s DNA immediately for testing to help true justice be served for all.
