I hope all of you are safe and following good health practices, as the world copes with a global pandemic. Terrifyingly, the first COVID-19 case has been found in Australian-run detention centres.

Can you please sign this petition calling for the release of those detained in immigration detention centres during the coronavirus pandemic?

From a two-year-old baby to elderly and immuno-compromised people, the detention centres are hotbeds for the spread of coronavirus. Just like we all are struggling with the ramifications of  COVID-19, the families of people in detention are extremely concerned for their loved ones.

Please sign this petition to allow these families to bring their loved ones home to see out the pandemic.

The government has a duty of care to the detainees and staff at the detention centres. Let us stand up for these vulnerable families and call on the government to step up in this unprecedented crisis.
