Occupy Elon - Demand that Tesla's Board remove Musk as CEO

The Issue

Tesla, a company once admired by many, has seemingly turned a blind eye to the actions of its current CEO, Elon Musk. As a passionate group of shareholders and consumers, we are deeply troubled by the board's inaction to hold Musk accountable.

Musk has aligned himself with the most anti-clean energy administration in history whose core slogan is "drill baby, drill". This alone has alienated thousands of current Tesla owners and supporters.

Furthermore, Musk’s political antics pose glaringly obvious conflicts of interest. He has proven to be untrustworthy and frequently dishonest. To complicate things even further, he uses Twitter/X as a megaphone to attack individuals and has allowed hate speech, antisemitism and misogyny to flourish on the platform under the guise of "free speech".

These side ventures are antithetical to the original mission of Tesla and are a stain on the company's reputation.

Mr. Musk's questionable conduct not only spurs doubt among consumers and shareholders alike but also globally taints the perception of Tesla. The company is losing confidence from its most ardent supporters due to the actions of its current CEO. Tesla often encourages its owners to refer friends and family. However, the exact opposite is occurring.

It is deeply unsettling that Tesla finds itself in the crosshairs not due to its performance or lack thereof but largely because of the avoidable controversies instigated by Mr. Musk.

Tesla's credibility and reputation in the global arena are vital for its success. We believe that preserving this reputation necessitates decisive actions from the company's board. For this reason, we petition the Tesla board to reassess the current leadership structure, starting with the removal of Elon Musk as CEO. We firmly believe that this step is paramount in restoring trust and preventing further damage to the Tesla brand. Please stand with us in this critical moment and sign this petition.
